To make matters even worse, Philadelphia lost reserve quarterbacks Nate Sudfeld and Cody Kessler to injuries, and were forced to drag Josh McCown out of retirement to provide back-up for Carson Wentz.

The 40-year-old finished with 17-of-24 for 192 yards for two touchdowns in the loss against the Ravens, proving that age is just a number.Next up for the Eagles is another AFC team, with Philadelphia traveling to New Jersey to take on the New York Jets on Thursday.

Much like their opponents this week, the Jets have also endured a rather average preseason so far. Adam Gase’s team is 1-2 and has lost its first preseason game at home last week, when it was defeated 28-13 by the New Orleans Saints.

The Jets also have personnel problems, with center Ryan Kalil yet to make his debut. The former Carolina Panther has not played a single minute in preseason, while offensive guards Brian Winters and Kelechi Osemelehave 14 snaps between them.

That means the Jets’ three interior starters, who are yet to practice together, will go into the regular season with very little mileage on the clock. Here’s everything you to know ahead of Thursday.

The game will be nationally broadcast by the NFL Network. Local coverage will be provided by CBS affiliates WCAU and WCBS in the Philadelphia and New York areas, respectively.

A live stream will be available via NFL Network online and on connected devices, as well as via fuboTV.

Josh McCown ran the show for the Eagles against the Ravens, despite having come out of retirement just five days earlier. The veteran quarterback completed 17 of his 24 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns and there is little doubt he will be Carson Wentz’s backup for the foreseeable future.

Rookie receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside had eight receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown on nine targets, while Corey Clement and Josh Adams rushed for a combined 43 yards over seven carries each.

Sam Darnold’s performance against the Saints was fairly mundane, with the second-year quarterback finishing with eight-for-13 for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Trenton Cannon rushed for 51 yards over six carries, while Robby Anderson had 60 yards receiving over just two catches.

Bengals vs Colts Live

That doesn’t mean there isn’t intrigue. Cincinnati still has plenty of players on the roster bubble fighting for their NFL livelihood. Whether it is the wide receivers looking for the final few spots on the roster or young linebackers looking to stay on the team, there will be plenty to watch.

Bengals fans should also be treated to plenty of reps from backup rookie quarterbacks Ryan Finley and Jake Dolegala. Both have looked impressive over the preseason. Jeff Driskel and Dolegala could also be playing for their chance to be the team’s third quarterback (if the Bengals even decide to keep three quarterbacks).

As for the Colts, there probably isn’t a more depressed fan base going into the 2019 season. They just got news that quarterback Andrew Luck isn’t coming back this season or ever. He retired following the teams last game as he was working to come back from an injury. The team already planned on sitting quarterback Jacoby Brissett before that news broke, so expect to see plenty of Phillip Walker and Chad Kelly.

As far as former Bengals we’ll get to see on the Colts, fans will be able to get a look at defensive lineman Margus Hunt. He was a second round pick by the Bengals in 2013. He was drafted based on the potential of his NFL strength, but the Bengals’ coaching staff was never able to turn him into the player they envisioned when drafting him so high. He had a career-high five sacks last season.

This is the last game that doesn’t count for the 2019 season, and it is probably the last time we will see most of these depth players spend extensive time playing offense and defense. This is also the last prime time game the Bengals play this season.
